Spicey!
Not too long ago, I lamented on the passing of one of the best club nights on the Dublin scene in the past few years. Last July, Spice took early retirement and faded away into the confines of memory. Imagine my surprise this weekend when I heard that Spice is coming back from the dead (or out of retirement - whatever takes your fancy!).
No longer taking place in Spy, Spice will have a new home in a new venue on a new night. From Friday the 6th March Spice will be taking up residency in The Dragon every Friday night. In keeping with the original theme there will be 3 seperate music areas. DJ Davina Devine will be playing retro & pop tunes, DJ Ruth will be playing commercial dance and chart and making his return to Dragon is DJ Paddy Scahill cranking out some harder-edged tunes.
Spice kicks off Friday 6th March from 10pm. Entry is free before 10 or €5 before 11pm or €7 after 11pm.
