Rally the troops
You've probably already heard about this already but I'm going to say it again because it's important.
This Sunday April 19th LGBT Noise is holding a rally for Civil Marriage at the Central Bank, Dame Street from 2pm.
You may have no interest in marriage, you may never plan to get married and you may never want to be involved in politics. But this is about so much more than that. There are thousands of same-sex couples in this country that want to get married and are denied the right to do so by our Government hiding behind the Constitution. Civil Partnerships that have been tabled are good but they're not good enough. Civil Marriage is the only way forward.
For years we shouted about equal rights then the money and prosperity came, life got easier and we stopped caring about our rights. It's time to change that.
Only by getting out there and getting involved can you make a difference. People think they can't make a difference because "I'm only one person" "My vote doesn't count" but it's not true. Rosa Parks was one person and she kick-started the Civil Rights movement in the US in a simple act of defiance.
Together, as a community we can be heard and can make a difference. So for once I implore you to get on to your friends, family, co-workers, children, lovers etc and get them all together so we can be heard.
