Hathaway Left Church For Gay Brother
Devil Wears Prada star, Anne Hathaway has revealed that her family left the Catholic church when her brother came out.
Hathaway grew up in a Catholic family in New Jersey, but it was decided that they would leave the faith when her brother came out as gay.
She has told GQ Magazine: "The whole family converted to Episcopalianism after my elder brother came out. Why should I support an organisation that has a limited view of my beloved brother?"
She also spoke about her current struggle with her faith, saying, “So I’m… nothing. F**k it, I’m forming. I’m a work in progress”.
