I throw my shoes at you Pope Benedict!!!

The Pope is brilliant for tabloid fillers, what with his regular denouncements of all the stuff that everyone wants to enjoy: consumerism, consequence-lite sex, rational ethical systems.

While doing his very best to preserve the Christian message in what is an apparently fiercely antagonistic Europe, it’s not surprising that he might take the occasional misstep; particularly since papal infallibility has been put on the back burner. His recent statement about gender theories leading to man’s (!) “auto-emancipation” from creation and the Creator is an example.

Such theories lead to a blurring of ideas about gender, which is a bad thing, because it – I think this is what the old tranny in the giant marble house means – makes us remove ourselves from creation and therefore from God. Assuming the German pope (and I mention his nationality because rationalism came to lovely practical fruition in Germany – it’s no accident the Germans are so good at making things that everyone wants or that their deep thinkers bridged the gap between the French Revolution and Ford's production lines) didn’t reject his European education, then it must have slipped his aging flustered mind that God’s whole project with ‘man’ is surely about auto-emancipation.

Since the entirely coincidental adoption of male-orientated monotheistic belief systems at the same time people stayed in one place long enough to domesticate grain and grazers, way back in old Iraq, people have been emancipating themselves from creation. It does kinda seem like the purpose of these big, fat abstracting brains – but maybe that’s just a Dawkins-stylee reflexion. So gonna get kicked out of Eden!

It’s Christmas, so last word to El Papa: “Rainforests deserve, yes, our protection but the human being . . . does not deserve it less”.

Go Benny!

Why waste a good pair of shoes Stephen? Unless they have a good 9 inch stilleto and you have the aim of Jocky Wilson, everyone's favourite champion darts player.
