The whole thing makes me so angry. How can she possibly get away with this? Only in Northern Ireland, I say - a fucked up place if there ever was one. In fact, now that I think about it, Iris Robinson has blood on her hands. Her comments directly led to the beating of a gay man. She is worse than a murderer. She is a woman who eggs murderers on.

We should stick her in Dublin Zoo for show and and milk the profits from visiter numbers to buy us all pretty things. People would come far and wide to throw fish at her like a seal.

it's unlikely she'll resign. She's already been defending her comments, because it's her sincerely held religious belief. What's more disturbing was that she was elected by the Strangford constituency, where it seems a large enough section of the electorate shares her beliefs. or maybe it's just a familt thing - you can trust Iris, sure isn't she married to our Peter! A bit like rotten generations of Civil War families being endlessly re-elected here in the Republic.
