How Did He Do It?

One of the most talked about things this was Derren Brown. Always a bit of a strange one, that bloke but surprisingly looks non threatening for an illusionist. This week he sparked more interest when he predicted the UK lottery mid-week. The Events on Friday showed him detail out the method in question by assembling 24 people. Their predictions for each ball, which were made by studying the
numbers from last year, were added up and divided by 24 to equal the
average guess, until they improved the technique and got the right numbers. Well, it was certainly better than his Russian Roulette stunt all those years ago and it's better than anything from David Blaine at least.

Bloody hell. Corrie certainly went out with the campness last night with Sean finally forced to admit to Leon that Jason was straight after all. It bears repeating - how thick was Leon? How could you not tell that Jason was straight? The funniest part however was Jason winning Mr Gay Weatherfield, despite his complete obliviousness to everything. It's not the funniest plot that the show has done but it's certainly better than others we've seen recently.

Just when Kevin Bishop vacates the screens, Katy Brand is back to, err, take the piss out of some very easy candidates. Doing a parody of the likes of Lady Gaga, Coldplay and Kanye West aren't exactly shocking nor are they some of her funniest material. I do however enjoy her 110% take on the Queen but other than that, this series should try a little harder to be more original with it's targets. Even the Lily Allen sketches are a bit tired.
