Hayden Panettiere Asks For Lesbian Role
Heroes star Hayden Panettiere has announced that her on screen character Claire Bennet will be involved in a lesbian romance later in the series.
"I kinda threw it out there," Panettiere said. “(The writers) put you in relationships and I was like, 'Can I just be with a girl or something? Let's do that'.
"So they took it and ran with it. She's a great girl... and we have a blast."
Hayden who last year stated,“If I’m going to be linked with someone, I could do an affair with Angelina Jolie, Jessica Alba or Charlize Theron.”, Seems enthusiastic about the story line, relating it to her own life by saying: “It’s great to be single. It’s great to have boyfriends. Or girlfriends. There are occasions when you kiss your best friend growing up, having fun and goofing about.”
This new romance is rumoured to air during the fourth season of the show, which premiered on the 21st of September. Although it has been suggested in previous seasons that Claire might gain a female love interest, the Redemption trailer from season 4 of the show debuted at Comic-Con shows clips of the two actresses together.
