PEP Conference At The Rotunda Hospital

Find out how to secure a place at the upcoming PEP (post-exposure prophylaxis) conference at The Rotunda on April 1.

Post-exposure prophylaxis (PEP) refers to any prophylactic treatment started immediately after exposure to a pathogen to prevent infection and the development of disease.

Although commonly linked to the prevention of HIV, there are many types of PEP that offer protection against a wide range of diseases for many different groups of people.

The Rotunda Hospital is hosting the 2011 National Post-Exposure Prophylaxis (PEP) Conference on April 1, 2011 in Croke Park, Dublin.

This conference, the first of its kind in Ireland, will focus on HIV and other blood borne virus prevention including Needle Stick PEP, Community PEP, Sexual Assault PEP and High-Risk Sexual Encounter PEP.

For more information or to express your interest in attending, please contact Gordana Avramovic on 01 716 4562 or email gavramovic@mater.ie.
