Happy Birthday George!
Hard to believe but the old queen herself, The George is 12 years old this weekend. Now I know what you're thinking "It's been around a lot longer than that." And you'd be right; It's the new (can I still say new after 12 years?!) part that's getting on a bit.
What was once a restaurant (Ali Baba's) was transformed into what we now know as the dance bar bit of the George back in 1996. Soon after Shirley started doing her Bingo and the rest as they say is history!
To celebrate the old girls birthday up-and-coming pop cuties The Saturdays are playing this Saturday (coincidence much!). Also in attendance will be DJs Fluffy & Stuart as well as lil ol me playing a few choons! Karaoke and Craic Out Back will also be on too.
Tickets for Saturday night are on sale now from The George and are €15 in advance or €18 on the door on the night.
