Something To Be 'Glee'ful About

Not one of my favourite things on TV but it seems the latest series of Waterloo Road has introduced a lesbian teacher in the shape of Jo Lipsett. Some viewers will recognise actress Sarah Jane Potts, who previous appeared in lesbian dramady Sugar Rush back in 2006 as Kim's girlfriend, Saint. Here her role seems to be figuring out whether or not lazy French teacher, Steph actually does fancy women. In reality, Steph was trying to play on Jo's affections so she'd get out of a school trip but it didn't stop the pair of them from actually sleeping together. Steph's look of horror did seem to suggest that a repeat performance was out of the question.

One of the most hyped about new shows and TV3 surprisingly got in there first (E4 tomorrow). Glee is ... well, bonkers. No, it's actually about Spanish teacher Will Scheuster trying to get the school's Glee club up and running despite lack of interest from fellow students and opposite from virtually every staff member, except Emma. As musical shows go, this one is certainly infectious and not surprisingly enough, there is a gay character with Kurt, who in later episodes seems destined to give Beyonce a run for her money. I hope TV3 actually stick with the show and don't ditch after a few episodes in favours of some rubbish lifestyle shows like they usually do. If not, I'll stick with E4.

Another week, another soap gay plot. Emmerdale has been a little low on them for a week but this week did see Aaron try to kiss his mate Adam after crashing Ryan's car on a night out. Not exactly the most romantic of moves and Adam's shock could suggest that it's one sided as well. Plus it does appear that Aaron won't be in a rush to tell anyone soon that he tried it on with his only friend.
