Russian Neo-Nazi Groups Posting Fake Personal Ads To Lure And Torture Gay Teens
Russian Neo-Nazi groups are reportedly using social networking sites to lure, entrap and torture young gay men.
A report published by Spectrum Human Rights Alliance, an Eastern European LGBT advocacy organisation, reveals that over 500 online groups have been created on popular Russian social network VK.com, aiming to organise homophobic vigilante groups in cities across Russia.
These groups are posting fake same-sex personal ads, and then torturing and humiliating the unsuspecting victim when they turn up for a date.
The report from Spectrum notes, “Video recordings of bullying and tortures are freely distributed online in order to out LGBT teens to their respective schools, parents and friends.
“Many victims were driven to suicides, the rest are deeply traumatised. So far Russian police took no action against these ‘movements’ even though Russian criminal code was clearly violated, and despite numerous complaints from parents, victims and LGBT activists.
“Captured victims are bullied and often tortured while being recorded on video. These self-proclaimed ‘crime fighters’ perform their actions under the broad day light, often outside and clearly visible to general public that indifferently passes by or even commend them.”
The video below shows a group of men physically attacking and pouring urine on a 15 year-old victim.
