No Regrets Says Wife Of Gay Rugby Star
Gareth Thomas’s wife said she was not surprised when her rugby star husband came out.
Jemma Thomas and her Gareth have been separated for four years and are currently in the process of a divorce, which she expects to be final soon.
“We’d been spending quite a bit of time apart and he said we needed to sit down and talk about things,” she told the Five Live TV show.
She went on to say that she had her “suspicions” and that there had been “rumours about Gareth from a young age”.
She did admit she would have liked him to be honest with her much sooner but that she would not want to change the time they had together.
Gareth Thomas has become a gay icon for men in sport. He also became a patron of the Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual and Transgender History month.
