Cowboy Pastor Says:Horses Can Cure Gay 'Addiction'
A pastor in the United States has claimed stroking horses can cure homosexuality.
Raymond Bell, the leader of the Cowboy Church of Virginia, says equine-assisted psychotherapy or "EAP" can be used to help men get over their "addiction" to gay sex.
"EAP can help any person who is living the homosexual lifestyle or involved in it in anyway," said Raymond Bell.
"The first common misconception is that homosexuality is genetic, or hereditary, or as some say 'born this way'. Homosexuality is actually a type of addiction. It is not 'curable' as a disease because it is a choice driven by the person."
Bell says people turn to homosexuality after negative experiences such as rape, abandonment, abuse, low self-esteem or lacking of a good male role model.
Bell is confident that EAP works, stating: "it is not now, nor has it ever been, in question".
